Balloon for free speech in public space

Carlos J. Gómez de Llarena will present Urballoon at Spectropolis: Mobile Media, Art and the City, a three-day event that highlights how artists, technical innovators and activists are using communication technologies to generate new urban experience and public voice.

Urballoon, under development since 2002, is a giant ballon armed with a net connection and airborn projector to explore free speech in public spaces.

Via the website, people can send texts or images which will be queued and shown by the balloon in the order received onto the street.
