Strange Fruit hanging in Tokyo

Australian performance group Strange Fruit uses 4-metre high flexible poles in street performances that combine dance, circus and spectacle.

They are currently performing their “The Spheres and Swoon!” show (information pdf) outside Tokyo’s Roppongi Hills complex till 21 November. Wish I could see it.

The seven-person, 50-minute night time performance stars giant luminous spheres hiding performers who are gradually revealed to finally emerge to stand and rise above their ‘spheres’ of existence.

One of their latest performances, The Three Belles (pdf), looks gorgeous too.
