Katherine Moriwaki

is an artist and researcher investigating wearables, fashion, emerging communication infrastructures, and the experiential resonance of technologically mediated public space. Currently a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Dublin, Trinity College, in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Katherine’s dissertation on “The Distributed Body” is focused on creative and artistic applications of networked communications and emergent behaviour. Katherine received her Masters degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University. Her work has appeared in IEEE Spectrum Magazine, and has been exhibited at numerous festivals and conferences including “numer.02” at Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, and Siggraph 2000 and she has lectured in “Fashionable Technology” at Parsons School of Design in NYC.
