Juvenile protectors and cyber clean schools in Korea

The Korean government will implement a set of measures to protect young people from “illegal harmful” information.

Steps will be taken to filter noxious images and text flowing through P2P sites and to monitor cyber communities, including those for suicide, and P2P sites from next month.

Besides, laws will require service providers in cyber space to be designated as “juvenile protectors.”

The government will also name sample schools as “cyber clean schools”, where programs for ethics in information communication will be taught.
