Microsoft Hardware Systems Group in Cambridge (UK) has created a new research group that combines hardware engineering with psychology and sociology to investigate how to enhance human-computer interaction.

The five issues to be studied are:
– ubiquitous computing;
– modes of interaction;
– device design and evaluation;
– mobile communication and media futures;
– comparative research methods in Human Computer Interfaces.
