Huddersfield Transport Design Degree Show

Final year undergraduate students from the Transport Design course at the University of Huddersfield (UK) have displayed some interesting concepts at their annual degree show exhibition.

I quite liked Amardeep Bansal’s motorcycle for older riders: “The Motorcycle concept is based on the qualities of Bauhaus and Braun products, namely usability, honesty, and longevity. Due to the predicted growth in Motorcycles purchased by the 60-plus population, the bike is designed to alleviate stress on problem areas that are magnified with age such as the lower back, wrist, knees and neck.”

The bike is an automatic to minimize wrist strain, the stance of the motorcycle is upright and narrow, leading to a more upright rider’s posture to alleviate back and knee pain, etc.
