Drivers flout mobile phone ban

Since last December, UK drivers using a mobile phone behind the wheel can face a fine up to £1,000. But a survey showed that one in 5 motorists ignore the law in order to use their mobile phone while driving.

One in 10 women hide their handset under their hair, one in 5 men cover it with their hands and 6% put the phone in their lap and shouted.

More than half of them already have or plan to buy a hands free headset.
