Corny DVDs

After NEC’s biodegradable corn-based laptops and Pioneer blue-ray optical disk made of corn starch, Victor (JVC) has developed an environmentally friendly DVD made of a plastic synthesized from corn starch. Unlike DVDs made from oil, corny DVDs will help reduce the consumption of oil and the quantity of carbon dioxide emitted in the process of incinerating used DVDs for disposal.
